Unknown Studio leading New Master Plan at Tohono Chul Park
We are thrilled to begin work on a new plan for the Tohono Chul Park, a remarkable 49-acre botanical garden in the Sonoran Desert of Tucson, Arizona. Sometimes called “The Green Desert” because of its unique status as one of the most biodiverse deserts int he world, The Sonoran Desert features abundant, diverse vegetation including the iconic saguaro cactus.
Our team looks forward to partnering with Bowman Engineering and architects PMM in order to envision the guest experience, community ties, and conservation at Tohono Chul. The new master planning effort will build on the Garden’s 40-year legacy of conservation, culture, and community.
To help guide the next ten to fifteen years of the organization’s development, this master plan will embrace the unique ecological and cultural qualities of the Sonoran Desert, honoring the past while imagining a vibrant future for the Garden.
