Sophia Novo Intern Designer

Sophia’s passion for Landscape Architecture began with a childhood living in California and Costa Rica, where the differences between the environments left a long-lasting impression on the importance of nature and multispecies collectivity. Drawn to the landscape’s ability to cultivate interconnectedness with various communities, she studies the restorative balance between ecology, history, and community in design.

Currently a third year in the Landscape Architecture program at The Ohio State University’s Knowlton School of Architecture, Sophia joins Unknown as an intern through the Knowlton’s CO-OP program. Prior to her time at Unknown, she worked as an Honors Community Advocate, Indoor Plant Maintenance Coordinator and Office Assistant, and interned with local nonprofit Neighborhood Design Center in Columbus. In her free time, she enjoys photography and traveling.
