Abdul-Azeez Ahmad Landscape Designer

Abdul-Azeez is a landscape designer drawn to landscape architecture’s capability to heal and nurture relationships between and within communities. Being drawn to landscape architecture from a history of community organizing he fully believes in landscape design as a medium and avenue to heal harm and damage done throughout our neighborhoods, cities and the world. He joins Unknown Studio with prior experience working at both Snøhetta and the Arnold Arboretum. With a background building power and community through grassroots organizing in Columbus, Ohio. As well as a research practice developed with his research partner, Sarah AbuDakar, Reflecting Resistance with the goal of heralding indigenous land based practices across the globe as climate resilient and anticolonial practices. He holds a bachelors of science in landscape architecture from The Ohio State University. In his free time he enjoys running and photography.
