Unknown Studio Leads Remington Neighborhood Plan Update
Unknown Studio is excited to lead the Remington Neighborhood Plan Update in partnership with GRIA (Greater Remington Improvement Association).
Remington is a unique and storied neighborhood, with the geography of the Jones Falls Valley shaping much of the area’s history. Quarries and mills lined the Jones Falls Valley, later to become a hub of industrial activity. With some neighborhood homes dating back to the early or even pre-1900s, there are legacy families that have worked and lived in the area for generations. Today, Remington is a vibrant cultural hub, well-known for small businesses and community-driven activities.
Many changes have come to the neighborhood since the community-managed Remington Neighborhood Plan was developed nearly 10 years ago. The collaborative update will provide an opportunity to reflect on the goals presented in the original plan—to note goals achieved and status of goals still in progress—and adjust the community vision accordingly for the next ten years.
